Trasna

Finding Direction at Life’s Crossroads

Trasna is a reflective guide created to assist individuals navigating pivotal life transitions. Trasna, is derived from the Irish word meaning “the crossing place,” symbolising moments of change that prompt deep introspection about one’s identity, purpose, and what truly matters.

What people are saying about Trasna

Trasna found me when I needed it most. Dolores's words paved a path for me to lift my head higher, navigate significant life changes more confidently and feel comfort in collective experience. I know now my plight is not new, my pain and fear is ancient. Through each page, Dolores taught me how to acknowledge the pit I was in, then how to crawl out of it. Read it with the generosity with which it was written. Feel the care coming from each experience shared. Give yourself back through the reflections asked. You can then pave each step of your path forward with new intention. You'll feel much better for it.

Trasna is a magnum opus!  The opening line “your baby has died”  exposes the author’s raw emotions when she lost her first child, Alexander.  It is a book full of sadness but the underlying message is hope. It is  beautifully written with marvellous poems and reflections.  It is the book that we all need at critical stages of our lives: the illness of a parent , the death of a child, divorce, loss of a job.  All of these seem unsurmountable but somehow we muddle through.  The exercises in this book help cope with these difficulties. The two points that stand out to me are “learning what matters”  and “choose one’s attitude”.  So often we never learn these fundamental basics.

Dolores, with my sister just hours from taking her final breath, your words fill me with doubt and questions about my own remaining time on earth and the uncertainties that lie ahead as well as the adventures still to be enjoyed.  As I neared the end of your story, I could hear the word courage resonating in my mind and smiled to myself when I read the last quote from John O’Donohue, and thought about the enormous courage you show in the way you approach, your life and its challenges. You inspire me to be a better person and to live my life more authentically and fully.

I recently read TRASNA by Dolores Cummins, and it is such an inspiring story of a heart-based super smart,  intuitive businesswoman committed to change. Dealing with life & loss, creating a school for her children and all the while and being a lightworker for strategic leadership & change management in the corporate world…  WHAT A WOMAN. Thanks for the book, Dolores. I admire you even more after reading it - love from your fan girl.

Thank you, for a revealing journey of loss, healing and hope. Dolores has experienced the loss of her loved one's and other life altering moments. These are the times when we question and search our hearts to understand the 'why,' of these situations and to seek a way forward. The narrative of her book has more than life altering moments as it's basis. These are defining moments in a life fully lived and how priorities and perspectives are changed. Through her humanity and wisdom she is giving us the ability to live a better life with clarity, love and hope. This book offers advice and guidance, not just at those painful moments which life throws your way, but at other crossroads we all encounter throughout our lives. It's a hand to hold, to guide you to a place beyond the grief, and the uncertainty of making the right choices, where you can find clarity and meaning once more. Life is not always easy. Certain choices will be made. Choose with wisdom, love and integrity. Hold her hand with pride, you're on a new path now. Go raibh mile maith agat Dolores.
